SAG Awards 2018

SAG Awards 2018

Award season continues on with the 24th Screen Actors Guild Awards. One of my current favourite shows ‘This Is Us’ was nominated for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble’ so I was online waiting for the winners to be announced (which is what you have to do when you live in London). So somehow I managed to fall asleep *covers face* but woke up seeing not only did they win, but Mr Sterling Brown (who plays Randall Pearson) also won ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a drama series’, being the first black man ever to do so! Safe to say the entire team had a great night.

So many of our stars on the the red carpet were wearing such elegant pieces that I found it hard to narrow down to just a few. Check out my faves below.

Reese Witherspoon

Sometimes you don’t need to do too much to look good. Nominee Reese Witherspoon came in a satin, off- shoulder Zac Posen dress. I had to include her in this post as i’d like to think, if I was ever invited to one of these carpets (cough cough), I’d wear something simplistic but stunning like this.

The Queen of R&B, Miss Mary J Blige in Jean-Louis Sabaji Couture. Fitting her perfectly and showing off her curves. She was nominated in two categories, plus recently turned 47 years old and on the same day received her overdue Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame , so she is winning all round!

Jackie Cruz

STRIKE A POSE! The ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Actress Jackie Cruz (@jackiecruz), gave us a fierce look on the carpet. In such a beautiful, all shades of purple, feather gown by Rami Kadi (@ramikadi).¬†She owned it with such confidence, by far the most daring of the night, which you don’t see much at the SAGs.

Halle Berry

Bringing the glamour to the SAG Awards in a custom Pamella Roland gown. Don’t attack me but I’d call her a legend in the acting/ Hollywood world, so talented and always keeping it classy. Although she only came to present, Halle came and slaaaayed hunny. So that’s why I’m giving her best dressed of the night.
